Self replacement of Xiaomi Redmi note 4 Screen(LCD)

The LCD screen of Xiaomi redmi note 4 was broken. My poor son, be careful ...

 

Because the crash is not so bad, I would like to change it a little bit later and searched the LCD price in aliexpress BUT!!!!

Only $ 23.5 !!!

 

As it's not an urgent situation, so I decided to replace it by myself.
LCD has arrived in 16 days after order. It has come much faster than expected.
I was worried if I could do it well, but even if I can not do it successfully, I do have a good experience with my son. 

 

 

      

 

 

Thankfully, they sent tools for working together.

First you must unscrew the bottom screw and remove the SIM card.
Do not forget to turn off the power.
I'll start with the stopwatch ^^.

 

 

 

Now, let's break it down in earnest.

Carefully remove the case by checking the hole position on the back side of the new LCD.

 

 

 

 

It does not open much better than I thought, but I repeat it carefully many times and it finally opens.

You should not open the cover in hurry. Cover and board are connected by cable.

Carefully open the connector as shown below and continue.

It's more complicated than I expeced.

All parts are attached to the LCD board.

Even the batteries do not just detached easilly...

It's frustrating ...

I regret that I have just begun.

 

But I started to see the end though.

Untie the visible screws again.

Once you remove it from the bottom,

a small board comes out.

Now I have removed the battery.

It was attached to something sticky

but I think it was Bond.

 

The battery is removed as well.

 

Now you need to remove the top board and connector.

It is not easy for the beginner to remove

 all of the parts one by one.

 

It is the state all separated.

 

Now that we have removed everything, we move the components one by one to the new LCD to assemble.

It's really hard ..

Oh, you should not forget to move the speakers,

rubber stoppers and vibration motors at the top.

 

But assembly is much easier than disassembly.

Place it in the correct position and tighten only the screws.

Connect the battery and close the case. The END.

Congratulations!!!

It took 1 hour and 48 minutes. Almost two hours.

My son looks in the eyes of respect.

Self-repair is possible even if I'm not

a professional repairman.

Although my phone was repaired

at a cost of about 25 dollars,
I do not want to recommend this jobs

as my fingers are sore and
