Just a few days after Desiigner shared the news that his BTS and Steve Aoki collab “Mic Drop” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, the RIAA updated its site to reveal that yet another song by the Korean group earned the same distinction.

On Monday (Feb. 12), RIAA updated their sites to reflect the batch of 104 songs and 17 albums that were certified gold or platinum in January. BTS’ "Mic Drop" earned the distinction on Feb. 6 with half a million certified units, while "DNA" was certified on Feb. 9 with the same amount. Both songs were released in September on the band's Love Yourself: Her EP. “Mic Drop” was released in a remixed format in November, an update that was produced by Aoki and featured Desiigner.

The septet's Love Yourself: Her was the best-selling physical album in South Korea last year and the highest-ever record by a Korean group on the Billboard 200, where it peaked at No. 7.

The group’s Stateside success comes after a steady ascent ever since their first album in 2013, with their ARMY fandom growing to monumental proportions over the past few years. BTS is the first K-pop group to receive a Billboard Music Award, when they were recognized as the Top Social Artist of 2017 at the BBMAs last May.
